this is a webpage about jake rantas cards: technocracy cards. Bring on the madness!
Hello and welcome to the offcial rules of the hit game: technocracy. Yes it is complicated a little bit and hard to learn, but you got to have some way to play.
You need to know that your goal is to destroy the technocrat at the top of the "tower" this tower can be held accountable on a premade spreadsheet or you could do this all on paper which would be even more hell.
Now let me take you through a simulated game which will act as a clever way of telling the rules
You start in the basement. You can look at every card you have at all times and you may have as many cards as you like. Or if your playing with other people as many as the other people agree. Make sure you have a robot or a receipt of a robot, and you can keep this one face up. This one is actively in the game. Not in the null space (the extra cards you have that you cant use in your "hand". And not in the exile pile (when cards are destroyed there here)
(before you do this reference "thetower" and "the calendar" page) Once you have gotten your hour counter on 00:00 and your day on june 9th 2025 and your position counter in the basement your ready
you can move your position counter 1 block per hour as you see on the floors and groundleveloutside
However you have got to get to floor 1 before halloween of 2025!
SO LETS GET GOING
You can do nothing but remain in safety in the basement until you lose the game so lets get going
In this game ill start by spending an hour to move up to the ground floor
Moving Up: you can move up when there are no more servers left to destroy in a floor which there are none in the basement. You also have to be located in the bottom right coordinate of the level. you advance to the next floor (as pictured on "thetower" and start at position A1.
Im now in the ground level outside. which is a relatively safe space. But know this rule:
Your always in danger. A server sends out an attack roughly every half a day so every hour roll a D12 and if you get a 12 you go down a floor
I got an 11 so theres no attack by the server at 01:00
Also you have arrived at a new level. which means:
New Level card action: you may choose 6 cards of your favorite and set them on the table. Make sure they are set up in a manner left to right leftmost being 1 and rightmost being 6. Roll the dice and whatever number you roll you get the corresponding number card you laid out. You may take the other cards back too. If you dont have 6 cards you can have holograms.
Holograms: For when you dont have 6 cards to draw these are essentially receipts. Roll a D20 and whichever number you get corresponds to a range of cards which have to be connected in sequential order. For example 0.0001-0.002 is just fine and so is 0.0005-0.0025. These are like receipts except you have way less of a choice. Also know this: a holoranger can only be used by foil cards so if you dont have a foil card that is not exiled then you can have a holoranger so you need a foil. And yes holorangers can be used in the nullspace.
For this game im using 4 cards 1 receipt and im missing a card so ill choose a hologram range
I hope its something good
Ok so I got another robot on my side
Now that I got my 6 cards laid out 1-6 lets roll the D6
It ends up being my holo robot which is alright.
lets spend another 2 hours getting to cord: B2 so i can get to floor20 to take out some servers
good
oh no
So it looks like the server attacked me on my second roll which means I am going to have to attack a server which has been connected to glo:b2.
to do this I first have to roll a D100
Ok so now i need to multiply the number by 10000 which is 63000
this number is the number that i will deduct from the servers health so the server is now at 37000 health
and also i get to add the number in the secondaryvalue if there is any which there is for this robot. (10K)
Now its the servers turn to fight back. Roll a D20 and heres what the server can do
option1 D1-10: server does nothing
option2 D11: server encounters error and dies
option3 D12: server manipulates foil card and turns attacking card into hologram (flip a coin to avoid this)
option4 D13-18: server adds 10k health to itself
option5 D19: server adds 50K health to itself
option6 D20: teleport to a random level. Roll a D20 again. glo is 1 and floor 19 is 20.
Ok rolling...
yas the server died!
Also note that to attack these servers you have to be on the coordinate that they are.
heres what the different cards mean:
humanvalue: when humans are in play they can work together with weapons to instantly kill a server and still get the dice roll. Just attack with the human and the weapon "attached" and this will work. No matter what it rolls the server is still dead.
forcevalue: when a force attacks a server everything is normal except you can choose between 4 of the server options and then roll for them using a D4. Also a force value can make a weapon "act on its own". This means that if you have a weapon and your attacking with a force card you can gain the damage from the weapon when attacking with the force card
messagevalue: a message value lets you pick a card to put in the queue you want to spawn next when you attack a server with it. This means the card in this queue will spawn whenever you go to a next level
weaponvalue: a weapon cannot be used without a human
robotvalue: robots attack servers. You need one to initiate an attack. All these other chumps are nothing without a robot
nullvalue: can steal a card from another players nullspace, and if you take 6 hours of doing nothing you can bring a card back from exile or get a hologram
!!!!!!!PLEASE note that this was orginally made on
